Carrie Vaughn is the author of the New York Times bestselling Kitty Norville series. She also writes the Golden Age superhero series, and other contemporary fantasy stories. Very similar to Podkayne of Mars & I consider it a homage to Podkayne since it was so transparent. Polly & Charles instead of Podkayne & Clarke with very similar personalities.
