The first part of Lolita was a bit of a struggle for me to get through. I almost gave up on it, but it picks up as the story progresses when she returns to New Orleans. This book got a LOT better toward the last 85 pages. I had a hard time grasping the characters and found the main character, Lita, a bully and just plain obnoxious.......more
