Synopsis

Harrison Wilke is thoroughly sick of Redbluff, Kansas. The town is a boring dead end, filled with unlettered roughnecks. His uncle Stewart - from whom he stands to inherit the Running W Ranch - cant stand him. Harrison doesnt even have enough money to get to the big city, where he belongs. There are a few bright spots. This book started out slow for me and I did not think I would like it at all. Self absorbed Harrison Wilke kind of turned me off. Slow and pondering I kept reading in the hopes that there would be a story. Something to hang your hat on. The story was really slow but I continued reading to the end still looking for the catch line. It just continued to meander around nothing.......more
