Synopsis

Hannah Daniels reads steamy romance novels to forget her last trip on the love roller coaster shredded her heart and tossed it like confetti. Her instincts about men stink, but at work they're on point. Only her busy schedule means she reads whenever she can make time. Like at the laundromat while sitting on top of a washing machine. Don't judge.

Firefighter Mason McNally has searched his whole life for a woman who stirs his soul. When he finds her, she's nose-deep in a racy paperback atop a vibrating washer. Her beauty, boldness, and raw sensuality ignite his interest. But there's a problem. He's forgotten he's wearing a wedding ring.

No amount of hasty explanations that it's for his brother's psychology experiment convinces her to give him a chance. But he's rushed into fiery situations before, and this woman is totally worth the risk. He'll just have to prove to her that first impressions can be wrong and their spark of attraction is oh so right.

Contains mature themes.

About Jenna Bayley-Burke

By day, Jenna Bayley-Burke is faster than a speeding toddler, stronger than a stubborn husband, able to leap tall Lego structures in a single bound . . . but by night, while the family sleeps she writes romance novels where no one ever has to scoop up after the dog, change diapers, clip coupons, drive carpool, do laundry, mop floors, get silly putty out of hair, vacuum, empty the vacuum bag (gross!), exercise, count calories, apply Band-Aids, clean up puke . . . wait where was this going? Oh, Jenna writes romance because it is glamorous. Just ask the dog.

I really wanted to love this book. It seemed like a fun and light novel. But the hero came as a little too stalker-ish and the heroine was annoying and paranoid. I never liked her to be honest. Mason wasn't the best guy, but at least he loved her and the stalker-ish things he did were his way of fin......more

This is a fun read with plenty of laughs throughout this engaging story. It starts with Hannah Daniels reading a steamy romance whilst sitting on the vibrating washing machine cleaning her laundry in a laundromat! That's where firefighter Mason McNally spies her and is instantly attracted. He tries......more

Wow, I just read some bad reviews for this book. I liked the book and thought it was adorable. It needed some editing, but as a former editor (if you can really leave editing behind) I never met a bigger grammar Nazi than me and even I didn't think it deserved a 1*! But the reviews were from two yea......more

Hannah knows men can be jerks in real life because she's experienced it and recently, so she'll stick to her books where the men know how to treat a woman. Personally, her good man-dar is busted, but at work her instincts are always on point. Unfortunately, her job doesn't leave much free time for r......more

**Copy Provided by Netgalley and Samhain Publishing for an honest review** This was a lovely read and I really could not help but fall in love with Firefighter Mason McNally. Hannah is a hard working woman, who's parents have really old fashioned values and tend to put her down a bit. She is a nearly......more
