Mark Skousen is an investment expert, economist, university professor, and author of more than twenty-five books. He earned his PhD in monetary economics at George Washington University in 1977. He has taught economics and finance at Columbia Business School, Columbia University, Grantham University, Barnard College, Mercy College, and Rollins College. He is a presidential fellow and Doti-Spogli Endowed Chair of Free Enterprise at Chapman University.
Contrary to what the other reviewers are saying, the One Lesson isn't to buy dividend stocks (although that's the bulk of his recommendations), it's that the market is not the economy and that economy is not the market. I would have to say! Yes, it is simple and it is not a get rich book. But, the ideas in this book are sound and have been tested over time. I can say when I was an early investor I followed these simple investing steps. I would say this is a great starter for anyone investing. I only have one update......more
