I must admit, I am right in the middle of my Nevil Shute obsession and 'In the wet' is the seventh book I have read of his in the last three months. Like all the others, it is so well written, within the first few chapters, Shute gets you hooked in and before you've realised it, you can't put it down......more

this book in some part is slightly dated with some of the language but however in some parts its quite forward thinking as its a mixture of the present 1953 and a story of a man's future story with the political change/system and fast aircraft.......more
