I Have My Mission

Jake Bloom feels deeply called to serve the Lord through his work in the Church. What begins as a mission filled with purpose and devotion soon becomes a journey marked by both inspiration and struggle. Within the daily rhythms of parish life, Jake encounters moments of fulfillment and beauty—but also frustration, uncertainty, and doubt.

As the Church faces financial challenges and debates over new construction, Jake’s sense of clarity begins to fade. He finds himself surrounded by fellow parishioners, each navigating their own spiritual paths. Dan Johnston, a wealthy man drawn to the humility of St. Francis; Mark Darden, balancing family life and newfound love; Sam Smothers, eager to lead with confidence; and Father Joe, a man of deep faith wrestling with practical realities—all reflect different dimensions of service and belief.

Through these relationships and challenges, Jake is forced to confront difficult questions about faith, purpose, and calling. Is his mission to remain where he is, or is God leading him somewhere new? I Have My Mission is a thoughtful and moving exploration of faith, vocation, and the quiet struggles that shape a life devoted to service.
