Synopsis

When Jesus “made himself nothing . . . taking the nature of a servant,” He modeled for all believers true humility. Murray calls this “our true nobility” and “the distinguishing feature of discipleship.” In twelve brief but powerful chapters, Murray journeys through Scripture and Christ’s life, underscoring the utmost need for humility—as opposed to pride—in the Christian’s life.

I'm not sure how to write a critical review about a book whose topic is "Humility." Any criticism would appear to be not-humble. And perhaps that is the place to start. The book is critical. It is critical of how Christians live their lives, what Christians prioritize (which are too-often false prio......more
