Goodreads review by Kathy

Since I had never read any other author’s books, I wondered if I would enjoy this before I began. I need not have worried. In the vein of Debbie Macomber and Susan Wiggs, this novel will suck the reader in from the get-go. Cassie Carmichael runs a dude ranch, but in addition to her paying guest, a b......more

It’s late summer, and Lois Greiman takes us back to the Lazy Windmill Ranch for the second book in her Hope Springs series. In Home Fires, Casie Carmichael struggles to save her childhood home through the kindness of neighbors, a refurbished bunkhouse for paying guests, and the tireless aid of three......more

I really enjoyed meeting the core group of characters in Finding Home for this series, and was just as thrilled to learn even more in Home Fires. While adding in a few new characters and expanding on our core of Casie, Colt, Emily, Sophia and Tyler, it was highly enjoyable and I didn't mind it revol......more

Goodreads review by Tamara

Casie is still stupidly insistent that she doesn't need anyone, and that she doesn't have any right giving even simple advice to the teenagers in her charge. It's getting ridiculous at this point. The whole book builds upon the troubles begun in the first book, with some new troubles added in, and C......more

Quotes

“Lois Greiman delivers.” Christina Dodd, New York Times bestselling author

“Heartwarming and full of a broad spectrum of emotions, Greiman’s second Hope Springs story has characters who are so easy to really care about. Their convoluted relationships are captivating, and the heroine is charming in her own insecure way. Greiman leaves one hoping for another visit to the Lazy Windmill soon.” RT Book Reviews (4½ stars)
