Loved the language and atmosphere setting of the author. The story just felt a little meager. Like this was just the first few chapters of the actual book. I saw there were more in the series. Oddly charming This book captures the flavor of the Victorian ghost detective stories I love with a twist. The objective for The Professor is the furtherance of scientific studies, measurements and repeatable results. Too bad that ghosts rarely if ever cooperate in such matters.......more
