Synopsis

Class is in, but Evangeline Hollis is struggling to get through the requisite training to be a full-fledged Mark. When her class goes on a field trip to an abandoned military base, passing the course isn't just a matter of pride…it's a matter of life and death. There's a demon hidden among them, killing off Eve's classmates one by one. As the body count mounts, a ragtag team of cable TV ghost hunters unwittingly stumbles into the carnage. Now keeping the Mark system secret competes with the need to keep the "paranormal researchers" alive. With Cain on assignment and Abel on an investigation, Eve must fly solo on her hunt to stop a killer before he strikes again. Eve of Destruction is a paranormal fantasy from the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Bared to You.

Japanese American writer, Sylvia June Day was born on March 11, 1973. Day writes romance novels, speculative/paranormal fiction, historical fiction, and futuristic fiction (under the pseudonym Livia Dare.) S. J. Day is the pseudonym for her non-romance genre works.

She is the co-founder of “Passionate Ink”, a special interest chapter of Romance Writers of America, and served on the Board of Directors from 2009-2013 as well as became the 22nd President of the RWA. For the last three years, Day’s novels have taken spots among the top bestselling books on global year-end sales round ups, making her one the most widely read authors in the world today.

In addition to her novels, Day has written numerous novellas and short stories for both print and digital-first release. Her work has been called an “exhilarating adventure”, by Publishers Weekly and “wickedly entertaining”, by Booklist. She’s been honored with the RT Book Reviews Reviewer’s Choice award, the National Reader’s Choice Award, and multiple nominations for Romance Writers of America’s prestigious RITA Award of Excellence.

Born in Los Angeles, she grew up in Orange County and later lived in Monterey and Oceanside. She considers the two vibrant, energetic, and never-dark cities perfect for a writer whose working hours are as unpredictable as her characters.
