Dragoon
First Strike

Humanity knew the aliens were coming. No one was ready for what landed. In March 2039, the world ends in a single morning. Cities across the globe fall beneath orbital bombardments and packs of monstrous sabre‑toothed invaders—the Sabers—predatory, relentless, and terrifyingly intelligent. New Zealand is hit hard: Auckland burns, Wellington collapses, and the government is shattered.Buried deep in the Southern Alps, Colonel Tania Cooke activates the world’s last secret weapon: CAVDEV, a covert programme twenty years in the making, armed with experimental powered armor built for a war no one was supposed to know about. When Flight Lieutenant Nathan Harvey survives the fall of Wellington, he’s pulled into the Dragoons—an untested squadron of armored pilots thrown into the first major counteroffensive of the war. Their mission: retake Wellington, disrupt the Saber packs, and prove humanity isn’t finished yet.But the Sabers don’t behave like any invading army. They stalk. They hunt. They compete. And they’re evolving. As political power restructures itself in the ruins of Christchurch and Task Force Boudicca prepares for all‑out war, Harvey and his fellow Dragoons must survive brutal close‑quarters combat, the loss of friends, and impossible odds. Because if the Dragoons fail, New Zealand falls—and the rest of humanity won’t be far behind.High‑octane military sci‑fi, explosive powered‑armor combat, and a desperate fight for survival at the edge of the world.
