Synopsis

This literary epic follows the titular hero, Don Quixote, a man obsessed with keeping the chivalrous ideals of his favorite books alive. While the bumbling, middle aged idealist is nobody's idea of a classic knight in shining armor, he is determined to find glory and grand adventure on the roads of Spain.
With his trusty squire Sancho at his side, Don Quixote undertakes several expeditions that take the pair wildly astray on his search for greatness. From discovering so-called health elixirs, to attempting to undo fake enchantments, this classic tale stands the test of time with its intriguing commentary on morality, class, and connection.

About Miguel De Cervantes

Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra lived an unsettled life of hardship and adventure. After studying in Madrid (1568-69), he took part in the sea battle at Lepanto (1571) and in 1575 he was captured by pirates. Cervantes spent five years as a slave until his family could raise enough money to pay his ransom. His first play, LOS TRATOS DE ARGEL (1580), was based on his experiences as a Moorish captive. During the next 20 years he led a nomadic existence, also working as a purchasing agent for the Spanish Armada and a tax collector. He suffered a bankruptcy and was imprisoned at least twice, and wrote DON QUIXOTE in prison.

Pero lo más curioso es que casi solo es eso mismo: un símbolo, una figura, que ilustra hasta qué punto se......more
