I bought this knowing from the sample that it was an iffy proposition, but I hoped that the charm of a genetics researcher writing SF about genetically engineering dragons would be worth it. Another phenomenal story by Dan Koboldt. Making dragons to take care of the hog problem is one thing. This was an interesting approach to future genetic engineering with a bit of fun mixed in. Strange and a little silly at times, but my main issues were with suspension of disbelief when the intelligence and communication between humans and dragons was involved.
