Thanks to Mark Donaldson's autobiography The Crossroad I've come to the conclusion I don't have to like the person I'm reading about to appreciate the story. For at least the first six chapters I actively disliked him for his behavior and his attitudes and I desperately wanted to put the book aside.......more
