Of all of the books that Mr. King-Smith has written, this autobiography is very much my favourite. What a delightful man. Not perfect, but aware and honest. This book surprised me. I absolutely loved it. I got taken right back to a time before tractors and cars when farms were smaller and the farmers knew their stock by name.
