Freelance writer Liz Connors is receiving anonymous hate mail from some psycho. Someone she knows? When she receives the first death threat, Liz thinks it's somebody's idea of a sick joke. When they start coming weekly and grow steadily more graphic, she admits she's a little unnerved.Still, it's not until someone breaks into her apartment and leaves behind a mutilated doll, which looks a lot like Liz, that she and her cop boyfriend, Jack Lingemann, decide the joke's gone far enough.
