This is a pleasantly cohesive collection of Tennyson's work with a helpful introduction and useful notes in the back. Alfred Lord Tennyson can only get 5 stars! It's not a book I'd ever read cover to cover again obviously but he's one of the best poets of all time. I love Tithonus and the Lotus Eaters the most. I can say that this is a good book, however whilst it is a good book, I’m not a great fan of Tennyson. Yes, yes he wrote ‘The Charge of The Light Brigade,’ and other good poems, but some of his poetry, technically very good is rather long.......more
