A Trick of the Light

In a land ruled by blue tattoed priests, where an evil god is worshipped, a girl is born with a terrible destiny. She is designated to be a human sacrifice to that cruel god, but her mother takes her into hiding before it is too late. Growing up, she learns that the vengeful state is coming to find her. Only through her courage and by following the path of the sword can she escape her fate, that and a god-given speed of movement, movement so fast it might be mistaken for a trick of the light.
