About Anne Rockwell
Anne Rockwell is an author and illustrator from Tennessee. She collaborated on many of her books with her illustrator husband, Harlow Rockwell. After his death in 1988, she started working with their daughter, Elizabeth. Rockwell, a pioneer in the field of children's nonfiction, has over one hundred books to her credit. Her work has received accolades from the New York Times, American Library Association, and the Coretta Scott King Awards. Rockwell lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.

About Floyd Cooper
Floyd Cooper is from Oklahoma, and earned a degree in fine arts from the University of Oklahoma before moving to New York City in 1984 to pursue a career in illustration. He received a Coretta Scott King Award for his illustrations in The Blacker the Berry and a Coretta Scott King Honor for his illustrations in Brown Honey in Broomwheat Tea and I Have Heard of a Land. Cooper lives in Pennsylvania with his family.
About Qarie Marshall
Qarie Marshall has narrated over thirty series for the Discovery Channel and the BBC. He has also been a guest voice on Comedy Central's Drawn Together and has recorded BBC radio plays, the in-flight programming for Virgin Atlantic Airlines, over eighty video games for the PlayStation and Xbox, and numerous audiobooks. In 2007, he was made an Associate Artist of The Purple Rose Theatre.
