Synopsis

Journey into the heart of Edwardian society with "A Room with a View" by E. M. Forster. Follow Lucy Honeychurch, a young Englishwoman, as she navigates the confines of social convention and her own desires. During a transformative trip to Italy, Lucy encounters George Emerson, whose passionate outlook on life clashes with her intended, the priggish Cecil Vyse. Torn between tradition and the call of her true self, Lucy's journey is a rich exploration of love, freedom, and self-discovery set against the backdrop of Florence's vibrant landscape and England's serene countryside.

Lawrence wrote “About social existence, E. M. Forster knew everything.” Christopher Isherwood called him the expert on “My Engla......more

This short, little book was first published in 1908, and it focuses on Ms. Lucy Honeychurch. She is visiting Italy with her annoying guardian, Charlotte Bartlett. Ultimately, Lucy has......more
