It is a really well documented and thorough description of every one of the editions of the modern olympics up to Beijing 2008, and that is the problem, it is so long, with so many data, athletes and events, that eventually I lost interest, specially when I only recognized the names of some of the m......more
I did enjoy some of the stories, but the book felt like a Wikipedia page. Published prior to the Beijing Olympics, it highlights the modern Olympics from 1896 through 2004. It provides some of the highlights from each, and brief stories from each. Interesting enough, but at times it made me think of someone reading from the Olympics section of the uiness Book of Records.......more
