Synopsis

It all began when the half-able wizard Questor Thews announced that finally he could restore the Court Scribe Abernathy to human form. It was his spell that had turned Abernathy into a Wheaten Terrier - though still able to talk. All went well - until the wizard breathed the magic dust of his spell and suddenly sneezed. Then, where Abernathy had stood, there was only a bottle containing a particularly evil imp. It had been in the collection of Michel Ard Rhi, former King of Landover, now exiled to Earth. Abernathy must now be a part of that collection! High Lord Ben Holiday set forth for Earth, taking his green but beautiful love, Willow, with him. Unfortunately, they were long in returning. And without the soil of Landover in which to root as a tree at times, Willow could not long survive. That left it up to Questor Thews to save them. Grimly he set out to seek help, knowing himself to be incompetent. And to make things worse, the imp had escaped and sought the help of the evil witch Nightshade, now back from exile in Faerie. Questor's only idea seemed impossible, but . . .

I'm 29 and I think this book is great. It is the perfect balance between cutesy kid friendly, and suspenseful chaotic action that an adult readers love. If you are an avid reader who either has a young child that also likes to read or has a child you would like to see get interested in reading, then read this book together. You will both LOVE IT!

This, the third book in the series is, just, if not more exciting and interesting as the first book in this series...Wasn't too crazy about the 2nd book, The Black Unicorn. The suspense and anticipation keeps you interested until the end...without stopping to take a break. The reader Dick Hill, is the best reader I have ever heard. He expresses much excitement in his reading and the change of his voice and accent for each character is fantastic. The characters are all recognizable when he speaks with the amazing ability to be able to distinguish them one from the other. The story is GREAT and EXCITING!! You will love this series if you are interested in fantasy and wizards, elves, trolls, witches, dragons, fairies and sprites. I like this series sooo much...I went out and bought the entire series on audio with the intention of listening to it again and to share with all my avid book readers.
